2C2P Wins Nokia’s Calling All Innovators Award

Forum Nokia today announced that its Mobile Credit Card Terminal was named a winner in the 2009 Calling All Innovator competition, a global developer contest from Forum Nokia Developer Community (FNDC). As part of Nokia, FNDC offers technical and marketing support to over four million developers worldwide.

The 2009 Calling All Innovators contest challenged developers to generate applications and solutions that enhance the use of Nokia mobile devices in real-world scenarios. By winning the top award in the Emerging Markets and Mobile Necessities category, 2C2P receives a cash award and prizes that include premium placement featuring the winning application in Nokia’s Ovi Store, and the opportunity to demo their winning apps at Nokia World.

“These are exciting times for 2C2P. We are thrilled that our Mobile Credit Card Terminal app has been selected for the top award and we look forward to seeing the response it will get at the Ovi Store,” says Aung Kyaw Moe, CEO of 2C2P Pte Ltd.

2C2P’s Mobile Credit Card Terminal gives business owners the ability to charge a credit card/debit card, and to manage transactions securely from Nokia S60 devices without additional equipment. The application uses a standard Card Not Present message format, bypassing the need for a cardholder signature. This application can be used in a wide range of business scenarios.

Additionally, the top 10 submissions in all three categories, including the Mobile Credit Card Terminal, will receive the “Judge’s Choice Award”, which provides a one-year membership in Forum Nokia Launchpad (value of 300 euros). All Forum Nokia Launchpad members receive access to exclusive resources and support.

In the Emerging Markets and Mobile Necessities category, over 700 applications were received. The qualifications used by the judges that put the Mobile Credit Card Terminal at the top included Quality and Functionality; Uniqueness, Novelty value and Innovativeness; Usability and creativity; and Commercial viability and market potential.

“This category received the most submissions”, said Purnima Kochikar, vice president, Forum Nokia Developer Community. “The applications we received, particularly the Mobile Credit Card Terminal by 2C2P in Singapore, have inspired us. We look forward to offering these applications to our consumers.”
