The challenge

With one of the largest logistics and payment networks in Southeast Asia, Lazada Thailand needed a solution that matched its ambitions for growth in the region. An added layer of complexity is that Thailand, like many countries in the region, has a sizeable underbanked population, with the majority preferring alternative payment methods like mobile wallets.


Lazada was looking for:

  • Wide variety of payment options including wallets, online banking, mobile banking and credit card installment payment plans
  • A single point of fund settlement and reporting

Knowing that in-house development of an all-in-one payments service would be very costly and time–consuming, the e-commerce giant was on the lookout for an established and trusted payment solution provider that could be easily and securely integrated with their platform, and served the varied payment needs of their customers.
